Winship Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 academic year at Winship Middle
School! I am thrilled to serve as your principal and look forward to an
incredible year of learning, growth, and success together. Whether you are a
returning student or joining us for the first time, I extend a warm welcome to
each and every one of you.
At Winship, we believe in providing a nurturing and
inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and
emotionally. Our dedicated team of educators is committed to fostering a love
for learning and helping students reach their full potential. As we embark on
this new school year, I want to emphasize the significance of a positive and
respectful school culture. We expect all members of our school community to
treat one another with kindness, empathy, and respect. By fostering a safe and
inclusive environment, we can create a space where everyone feels valued and
supported.
Please note the daily schedule for students (8:40 am to

I hope that you will take every opportunity to become
involved with our Winship School Community, through volunteering in a variety
of ways such as: joining our PTSA, School Site Council, ELAC, or attending and
supporting school events. Please “Like” and “Follow” the Winship Middle School Facebook page to receive updates regarding upcoming events. Research clearly
supports that when parents/guardians participate and are involved in their
child's education, there is a greater likelihood of academic success for the
child.
I am privileged to be a part of this school community. It is
the people that help to make Winship Middle School a wonderful place! When
school and family work as partners towards the same goal, every child will
succeed. As principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. Please
feel free to schedule an appointment with me through our school secretary to
discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas you would like to share to help
make this school year great!
Respectfully,
Kristi Puzz, Principal
